On the main grounds as well as on the “new wing” island, there are treatment facilities – for gents and ladies seperately. Next to the ladies treatment house on the main grounds, you find the kutee: a specially constructed hut for undergoing the ancient Ayurvedic treatment of Kutee Praveshika Rasayana. There are only three such kutees to be found all over India.
At the heart of the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre is the reception building with the reception desk, a spacious lobby area with a library for the guests, the doctors’ offices, and the medicines room. Right next to it, in view of a beautiful Banyan tree, is the restaurant of the resort which offers freshly home-made meals according to the Ayurvedic chart of “right food”. Guests can choose their favourite foods from the buffet three times a day. A special diet for certain health issues can be provided upon request.
Above the restaurant, you can find a spacious yoga room, equipped with numerous yoga mats. The daily yoga and meditation practices – instructed by an experienced yoga teacher – support the curative aspects of your stay and are an important part of the treatments . The yoga teacher also gives advice with regards to certain physical constraints or different levels of excercise experience.
