On asking her reason for choosing Athreya, she reveals that she was impressed by the well organised procedures followed by the people here. \u201cI selected the place because of the promise of authentic Ayurvedic treatment. Shortly after my arrival, I had a first consultation with Dr. Sreejit who laid out a plan for the weeks to come. He checked on me nearly daily to confirm that we were &#8220;on track&#8221; to recovery\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Patient Name: Keva<\/li><li> Country: Hamburg, Germany<\/li><li> Medical condition tested for: Chronic Skin Problem<\/li><li> Arrived with Symptoms: Recurring skin problems and difficulty in coping with stress <\/li><li> Condition after treatment: Noticeable change after regular intake of medicine <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keva is from Hamburg, Germany who came to Athreya with an objective of curing her chronic skin problem. He checked on me nearly daily to confirm that we were &#8220;on track&#8221; to recovery\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coming to Athreya after already having tried various methods of treatments in her own country, Keva says she was initially sceptical of the observational phase followed by the doctors. \u201cIt took me one full week to be able to adapt, put my mind at rest and find my rhythm\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On speaking about the hospitality in Athreya, Keva appreciates the friendliness of all the staff &#8211; the site manager, the treatment ladies, cleaning ladies, the cook that helped her tremendously and made her stay comfortable from the beginning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She went on to appreciate the overall arrangement and a highly maintained sanitation in the living rooms. \u201cI lived in a spacious cottage equipped with TV and A\/C (which I wouldn&#8217;t have needed as there was also a ventilator). It was simple but absolutely sufficient and totally clean.\u201d Although it was the food that caught her attention the most. \u201cThe food was delicious and even after 15 days always a highlight\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As every other guest Keva was thoroughly interested by the Yoga classes that took place in the serene greenery of the resort. Guided by Mr. Jayakumar, Keva found that his approach to Yoga was very insightful, especially because the daily yoga lessons were always finished with theoretical facts that were not only extremely informative but also kept her engaged to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also considers the book shelf as a special treasure trove. She recounts saying that it had a shelf full of international books of all genres, that were available to her in the main lobby, which played a huge role in capturing and holding her interest throughout her stay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commenting on her involvement in other activities during her say, she talks about her trip to Kottayam, which then made her realise that she totally got used to the peacefulness of the resort, when compared to her initial opinion during the first week of her stay. \u201cI once joined a boat trip organized by the resort and went to Kottayam but I admit that I was always glad when I returned to the peacefulness of the Athreya which I had fully come to appreciate by the second week!\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although Keva was slow to detect some considerable changes on her skin within the short time of two weeks, she was assured by the doctors, who advised her that consistency in the intake of medicine would pay in the long run. She recounts saying that Dr. Sreejit saw more than she did and demanded patience when it comes to skin problems. \u201cHe sent me home with a full bag of medicine which I am still taking today\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back home, Keva states that she is regularly in contact with her doctor until this day. \u201cWe are still in contact and I regularly report on the developments.
