For every booking to be confirmed, an advance payment of 100% of the total stay cost is required. This is due directly after the client places a binding booking at the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre.
Upon receipt of the advance payment, the client will receive an e-mail confirming the booking. Should the advance payment not be received within 1 week of the binding booking, the booking is considered invalid and Athreya Ayurvedic Centre reserves the right to make the space available to other clients.
Accepted Payment Methods
For bank transfer payments, clients are requested to provide written proof or receipt of their successful transaction to the Athreya administration. If payment is delayed for reasons not attributable to Athreya, all treatments will be halted until the required sum is settled.
If the client wishes to order post-stay Ayurvedic medications prescribed by the treating doctors, the costs must be settled before the last 4 days of the stay. The same applies to all other optional on-site services such as laundry.
Such payments may be made in cash or via credit/debit card (plus 2% service fee).
Athreya Ayurvedic Centre is a place of healing – for guests and staff alike. In cases where a guest behaves in a rude, racist, intimidating, or harmful manner – directly or indirectly, verbally, physically, or through any digital medium – Athreya reserves the right to cancel the ongoing booking and request the client to vacate the premises with immediate effect.
In such cases, the financial conditions agreed upon at the time of booking will apply and no refunds will be made. Athreya management also reserves the right to report such conduct to law enforcement agencies.
Clients are requested to inform Athreya of any cancellation as early as possible in writing (e-mail). The decisive time is receipt of written notice before 5:00 p.m. local time on a working day. Cancellations received after 5:00 p.m. are counted to the next working day.

All costs and payments are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. Clients are requested to ensure the exact INR amount is paid, accounting for possible currency fluctuations. The exchange rate of the day of payment (as per Google) is applicable.
In case of refunds, currency fluctuations may result in a slightly different sum being refunded. Athreya cannot be held responsible for such fluctuations and will only refund amounts actually received in INR.

The centre is led by a family of doctors with over five generations of Ayurvedic tradition. Accommodation comprises 16 cottages and 8 double rooms built in traditional Kerala wooden architecture. All meals are home-made and follow the Ayurvedic diet. Daily yoga classes complement each guest’s personalised treatment programme.
